SHERMAN OAKS, Calif., May 29, 2001 --- Testing fees for certification exams offered by the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) have been approved by the Veterans Administration and are now eligible for reimbursement under the G. I. Bill and related VA programs, AFAA announced today.

AFAA offers exams for certification of fitness instructors and personal trainers in group exercise, kick boxing, step training, personal training and weight training.

The new benefit is available to veterans and their dependents who are eligible under the Montgomery G.I. Bill, VEAP, or the Dependents Education Assistance. Reimbursement is available for qualified participants in both the United States and abroad for both initial testing and re-testing fees.
