WHAT IS AFAA'S AQUA FITNESS WORKSHOP?
This one-day Aqua Fitness program is based on AFAA's Standards and
Guidelines for Aqua Fitness, and focuses on the application of land
exercise principles to the unique environment of water. Aqua Fitness
topics include:
Effects of resistance and buoyancy
Teaching from the deck
In-water teaching
Exercise design
Intensity progression

AFAA's Aqua Fitness is for instructors who are currently teaching, or are interested in teaching
aquatic group exercise.
Recommended Precursor to Aqua Fitness:
AFAA Primary Group Exercise Certification or
Exercise Science Fundamentals Home Study.

The Aqua Fitness workshop fee is $129 (less 10% discount for current AFAA members).
